BLUEBELL PHOTOSHOOT EXPERIENCE
Q & A's
1. When is the best time of year to have a photoshoot amongst the bluebells?
Bluebells are at their peak for only a few weeks in spring, usually around late April through to early May. Timing can vary depending on the weather each year,
so I monitor the blooms closely to capture them at their most magical.
2. If the bluebells only look their best for a few weeks of the year, how do I ensure that I don’t miss the opportunity to be photographed amongst them?
There will be available dates on weekdays and at the weekends from around the middle of April to the middle of May. Often the Easter school holidays will overlap the start of the Bluebell season and if the weather is warm enough there is often a date released around the 10th April. Otherwise, there are three available weekends within this time period as well as several days during the week.
3. How long will the photoshoot last?
A typical photoshoot experience lasts around 60–90 minutes. This allows us plenty of time to work together to capture natural poses, explore different parts of the woods, and enjoy our adventure together.
4. Will our photoshoot among the bluebells damage their natural beauty?
Within the Bluebell woods there are always many quirky pathways. We use these pathways all of the time to ensure that we do not trample or crush the stunning bluebell plants. There are specific areas around Surrey that I use for bluebell shoots and I am familiar with the best and most useable spots within them.
5. Can we include Children and dogs in a photoshoot among the Bluebells?
Absolutely! Bluebell forests are perfect for playful, natural and organic photographs. If you are bringing your dog, please ensure that you let me know in advance so that I can create a plan and ensure that I select the perfect area that will accommodate you all well.
6. What should we wear for a bluebell photoshoot?
Soft, natural colours and flowing fabrics work beautifully against the blues and greens. Always avoid bold patterns and logos as they can distract from the serene atmosphere.
7. What if the weather isn’t perfect?
I always aim to reschedule if the weather isn’t ideal and we are experiencing rain. Overcast days actually create soft, even light, which is perfect for portraits among the bluebells. There is NO additional fee to reschedule your photoshoot session.
8. Do you offer all inclusive packages?
Yes, there are 6 different family photoshoot packages to choose from. Click here to view them.
9. Can we get prints digital prints or albums?
Yes! I offer packages that include beautiful prints and digital files and some with albums too.
10. Do you offer couples, families, or solo sessions?
All of the above! Whether it’s a family adventure, a romantic couple session to celebrate a milestone, or a personal one to one portrait session; I tailor each photoshoot to your personal vision. The Family Photoshoot Experience packages can be used for 1 or 10 or more people. There is no limit on the number of individuals that can be included in your photoshoot session; though I will offer some advice on certain restrictions when your group exceeds 10 people.
