Top rated locations ~ for spring
These locations are "top-rated" because I use them frequently for photoshoots. I'm very familiar with them and they offer minimal restrictions in terms of parking and accessibility; there are also fewer visitors to navigate around.
Chipstead Woods ~ For Bluebells, beautiful wooded areas as well as open spaces full of unusual tree varieties including some spring blossom trees. (Chipstead, Coulsdon CR5 3SB)

Oxshott Heath ~ For Bluebells and gorgeous landscapes and easy parking, (Oxshott, KT22 0TA)

Bushy Park ~ Pheasantry Cafe and Gardens: (for Bluebells) and surrounding areas within Bushy Park, (Teddington, TW11 0EW)

Richmond Park ~ The Isabella Plantation: (for Bluebells) and surrounding areas within Richmond Park. (Richmond TW10 5HS)

NOTE, it has been said that professional photographers cannot visit the Isabella Plantation to take photographs, yet, I have not seen any notes mentioning this around the area when I have visited. There are also many individuals inside the plantation taking photographs with their own cameras and camera phones. We are only inside the plantation for 20 minutes or so, therefore I am always happy to try, if my client is happy to do so. I can always mention that I am a family friend, if my client/s are comfortable with this.

Other locations to consider:
(I have had the pleasure of photographing many of my families in all of the following locations)
Banstead Woods ~ Perfect for spring blooms and bluebells. There are a couple of restrictions here. 1) parking can sometimes be a challenge because it is a very popular place that attracts many visitors including athlete’s who compete in the ‘park run’. 2) The wooded area where the bluebells grow, is particularly dark where it is heavily covered with trees, meaning there are only a handful of days in the year when we can use this space for photographs with the bluebells; normally the last week in April when the bluebells are in full bloom and the trees are still awaiting their summer leaves. There are no restrictions if bluebells are not a specific requirement for your photoshoot and you are happy to wait a little while to park, at busy times. (Banstead, Surrey CR5 3NR)

Tillgate Park, Crawley ~ A large area filled with beautiful spots; pretty walkways, gorgeous wooden bridges, lush green lawns, woodlands, and tranquil lakes. There is plenty of parking, though there is a fee of a couple of £’s. (Crawley RH10 5PQ)

Tullip Farm - Crawley ~ For the month of April, Tulley’s farm offer a fantastic experience where you can pick your own Tulips. - Entry fee payable, parking included in your entry ticket ~ https://www.tulipfarm.co.uk/~(RH10 4PD)

Box Hill (near Dorking) – Just a short drive from Banstead, Box Hill is one of Surrey's most famous spots for bluebells. The woodlands here are filled with bluebells in the spring, and the hill’s views offer stunning contrasts between flowers and sweeping landscapes. Parking is available for a fee of a couple of £’s. (Tadworth, Surrey KT20 7LB)

Polesden Lacey – National Trust - entry fees payable ~ with beautifully landscaped gardens, including an impressive walled garden, rose garden, and expansive lawns. In spring, the gardens are filled with vibrant colours, including blooming tulips, daffodils, and magnolias. Parking is available for a fee of a couple of £’s. (KT23 4PZ)

Painshill Park ~ entry fees payable, parking fee possible. The park features a variety of stunning elements, including serene lakes, flowing rivers, and beautiful woodlands, with several follies and landmarks scattered throughout. (Cobham KT11 1AG)

Claremont Landscape Garden ~ National Trust - entry fees payable, parking fee possible ~ Claremont is renowned for its stunning views, with a large lake at the centre, picturesque bridges, formal gardens, and woodlands. (Esher KT10 9JG)
